The Workshop …
Meditate like the Masters and relax like never before!
The Excursion Training is an intensive weekend workshop designed to provide you direct experience with different states of consciousness and the tools for quickly accessing them in your daily life.
This is not a lecture series. There is a brief introduction and orientation, and the rest is spent meditating and in group discussion.
Note that these are experiential and participatory sessions. We limit the number of participants to create an inviting place for you to experience altered states of consciousness. Yes, space is limited!
All these benefits come without dogma. There is no religious connection or guru involved.
You will:
1. Learn how to access and heighten your intuition.
2. Gain tools you can use to de-stress and relax once at home.
3. Learn techniques to build and develop a meditation/reflection practice at home—even if you have failed before. This method is highly successful and has no dogma, Eastern affiliation or guru attached.

Here’s How the Course Works
This two-day workshop guides you through a carefully sequenced series of exercises to teach you how to comfortably shift and expand your awareness along a continuum of consciousness that is usually only accessible after years of training and practice.
You’ll use the Monroe Institute’s Hemi-Sync® system to learn how to rapidly achieve, hold, and control different states of awareness so you can access your untapped inner resources and apply them to a variety of areas in your life.
On the first day of the workshop, you learn to put your body to sleep while your mind remains awake. You’ll then learn to switch easily between an inner relaxed calm and normal waking awareness. This state is called Focus 10, and it serves as the foundation for exploring nonphysical energy systems and a great many other states of consciousness.
On the second day of the workshop you send your awareness beyond the physical world and establish a connection with your own inner wisdom so that you can ask questions and receive answers from a deeper Source of “knowingness” that exists beyond your waking mind. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience your superconscious in an exercise designed to connect you with your Higher Self.
Over both days you’ll learn 15 different tools and techniques to help you explore and experience these states
You’ll also have a chance to practice, journal, reflect, and share your experiences with others in the group so that you can offer your insights and learn from their experiences in turn.
The Facilitators . . .
Allyn Evans
Author, speaker and columnist Allyn Evans wrote Live a Powerful Life: How to Move Beyond Pleaser and Good Little Girl to Conscious Queen (2005). Not too long ago, fulfilling a long-term dream, she became a cruise ship enrichment speaker! Allyn offers meditation and professional development courses to adults and teens.
Degrees: MBA and BA in Psychology
Advanced Toastmaster
As a young woman, Evans found she always got in the way of her own progress—creating obstacles and allowing her deeply ingrained fears to stop her at every turn. Compelled to “come to grips” with herself, she dug down into her cultural heritage to figure out what went wrong and why. This self-study expanded to include the many women Evans interviewed for her work in the uplifting Live a Powerful Life.
She invites you to join her on a parallel quest to find answers, healing and self-acceptance.
In 1993, my husband Daniel experienced a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Always on the look-out for something that could benefit in his healing I was curious when a colleague introduced me to The Monroe Institute (TMI). The year was 2001. While reading everything TMI related that I could get my hands on I ran across an article about a lady who experienced a TBI and benefited from the patented technology called Hemi-Sync®. I ordered this title and my husband began to use it.
The more I read about the technology the more intrigued I became. I decided it would be beneficial for my husband to attend the Gateway Voyage® program offered by TMI. That is how we ended up in Spain in 2005. I thought it would be a really nice vacation in sunny Spain and perhaps Daniel could get some physical benefit from the course. I quickly realized that there was much more to the technology and I was hooked. It is hard to put into words exactly what kind of healing Daniel experienced. I feel that he did more healing in that one week than he had done in the previous 2 years. We are grateful for that great vacation in Spain.
We now make an effort to get back to TMI annually. I wanted to continue what we started in Spain and I became an Accredited Outreach Facilitator in 2008. Currently, I enjoy bringing the Hemi-Sync® experience through Excursion Workshops. I now serve the TMI community as Regional Coordinator for the Southwest, Midwest and Rocky Mountain Regions. I am also a member of the Monroe Institute Professional Division.

Three Reasons Not to Delay:
- Space is limited. The retreat center can only accommodate 24 guests.
- You will be introduced to a practical, affordable system that will help you move in the direction of your intentions. You learn a concept. You practice the concept. You talk about what you’ve learned. This helps to ensure you know how to apply things when you go home.
- It’s fun! Come on. We have found for most people that this workshop can be life-changing. Give yourself the gift of joining us for this very special program in a very special place. Your life will change.
